Day 10 of 366 days of 2012 on Project366.net and its been a busy couple of days. Monday was taken up with waiting for a health visitor to come and see Danny, my 2 year old son, for a standard 2 year assessment. And I’m pleased to say his development is advanced for his age. There’s a future Internet Marketing Millionaire in the making..
Did some more Twitter marketing last night, getting loads of clicks but no sales yet. Sent over 500 clicks to various products in NANACAST, so I’ll keep that going for a while and see what happens.
Got another paid click on Adsense yesterday. That’s 3 in total now. Had over 1000 page views and 3 clicks. From what I understand an average CTR, (Click Through Rate) is about 0.5% so I am just below that. I’m new at this so not worrying too much. It takes practice and time to get it right.
Today, Tuesday was the first day that I really started marketing my Web Site Business LA Web Solutions. It’s tough, telesales is tough. It’s not something that I have ever done before and it’s not something that comes natural to me. This is different to just sitting in front of the computer looking for the next niche site to build. This is actually picking up the phone and calling people to sell my product to them. Wow, made about 30 calls, only managed to speak to about 20 people, didn’t get any appointments yet but got some good feedback for calling back etc.
Going to be on the road most of the day tomorrow so wont get much time to make any more calls but hoping to find somewhere quiet for a few hours to get some done. If anyone has any tips on what to say and how to approach businesses when cold calling then all comments are welcome.
